Anderson secures major development on home turf

Anderson is extremely pleased to announce the purchase of a residential development site at Waldingfield Road, Sudbury from Catesby Estates Plc.

The former orchard becomes Anderson’s sixth site in the East of England and its second live site in Suffolk.

Babergh District Council granted outline permission in June 2018 for 130 homes, a community orchard, a public open space, a play area and an innovative sustainable drainage (SuDs) feature.

Rory Anderson, Land Director at Anderson, said: “Anderson is delighted to be unlocking yet another site in our core patch.

“Providing a new lease of life for the disused orchard is something we’re excited to be doing and work is already underway to make it happen.

“There’s a real opportunity here to set the standard for development in this area before the wider Chilton Woods development comes forward. That’s something we are ready for and we look forward to delivering through proper engagement with the community.”
